Alaska Debris Flow Hazard Prediction

Klukwan, Alaska, has experienced numerous debris flow events over the past millennia, which have been recounted over many generations. RAPID Graduate Scholar Maryn Sanders, of the University of Oregon, plans to collect aerial LiDAR of upslope sediment catchment areas to improve debris flow hazard predictions of these areas.
