COVID-19 Pandemic Streetview Campaign

The UW-led Covid-19 Streetview project is a collaborative effort between the University of Washington and multiple institutions worldwide, using Google Streetview data to identify and map changes in human behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic to inform public health policies and strategies.

RAPID staff used the NCTech Pulsar+ 360-degree camera to do multiple street view surveys starting from the first months of the pandemic and continuing into the present. The study area was designed to cover a broad and demographically diverse cross-section of Seattle. The data being collected will allow the team to assess: (1) the community impact, (2) the rate and quality of recovery, and (3) the impact of shelter-in-place policy relaxation on communities following the COVID-19 pandemic.
