The RAPID Facility's mission is carried out by a dedicated team of scientists, engineers, and technical specialists who bring together expertise across the full spectrum of natural hazards research. Our leadership team comprises recognized experts in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, coastal sciences, geomatics, public health, social sciences, and disaster risk reduction, with extensive field experience spanning decades of major disaster investigations worldwide.

Our seasoned operational staff combine advanced technical degrees with substantial field experience, having collectively supported natural hazards data collection from dozens of disasters across multiple continents. This combination of academic credentials and real-world deployment expertise enables us to provide comprehensive support for complex reconnaissance missions. Our team includes multiple FAA-certified remote pilots, as well as specialists in advanced surveying technologies, data processing, public health assessment, and field logistics who can operate effectively in challenging post-disaster environments.
