Oregon Inlet, NC - Coastal Erosion

Elizabeth Sciaudone, a research assistant professor at North Carolina State University, used RAPID instrumentation to investigate the erosive effects of locally generated waves and monitor and model erosion for assessment of feasible mitigation options in local transportation planning in Oregon Inlet, NC. The researchers used the acoustic beacon and a diver pinger receiver. The North Carolina Department of Transportation supports this research.
